Socially responsible investing, includes green or ethical investing, which means investing (putting money) in companies that positively impact the environment. For example, companies that focus on solar, wind, hydro, and other forms of sustainable energy are considered to be green, or ‘good’ investments. Companies that focus on reducing their carbon footprint or try to conserve natural resources are also considered to be socially responsible.
