Fern Whitau has whānau living overseas. Being able to withdraw funds from Whai Rawa, has made it easy for me visit them every year.
My whānau mean the world to me and because my son and some of my mokopuna live overseas, having the moni to travel to see them is very important. Being able to withdraw funds from Whai Rawa from the age of 55, has made it easy for me visit them every year.
Being a teacher of te reo Māori I love the chance to kōrero and help them understand who they are and where they are from; maintaining that connection is very important.
Spending time with my moko while they are young is a joy and is a huge motivation for me to save with Whai Rawa. Whai Rawa also helps me to plan for my retirement although that’s still ages away.
